Disaster Management
Introduction
Disaster Management provides fundamental conceptual understanding of various type of disasters that affect human lives and property. It studies causes and effects of calamities, human response to emergencies, crisis management, aspects of damage management & control, insurance, strategies for Disaster Risk Reduction and rehabilitation, applications for science and technology for hazards, communication systems during calamities, Public Health consequences of Disasters, awareness towards disasters etc.
Eligibility
Diploma/ Graduation: Pass in 10 +2 Exam or any other equivalent exam
PG Level: Graduate
However, some institutions seek Bachelor’s degree in Geography/ Geology/ Environmental Science / Civil Engg. OR M.Sc./ M. Tech in Remote Sensing/GIS as well as prescribe Entrance Test for admission
